Kitu's Auto Paint Warranty

First, Kitu’s Auto Group LLC (KAG) would like to thank you for choosing our company for your

collision and automotive paint services. This Paint Warranty includes the terms and conditions

of KAG Paint and Peeling Warranty.

ACCEPTING YOUR REPAIRED VEHICLE

Please take the time to thoroughly inspect your vehicle upon receipt. We require that you note

any dissatisfaction at the time you pick up your completed vehicle. If you accept your completed

vehicle in conditions that don't allow for making an adequate inspection, such as bad weather,

or inadequate lighting, you may take your car home and bring it back, must return within 48

hours, to note any dissatisfaction with the services we performed.

RUST REPAIR - THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON RUST REPAIR.

ANTI-CRACKING WARRANTY - 3 YEARS

In cases where paint removal (stripping) is necessary to eliminate cracking, peeling, or

delamination, KAG will warrant that the new finish will not crack for period of three (3) years.

This warranty is offered only to vehicle owners who elect stripping services and covers only

those panels on the vehicle that have been completely stripped to the bare metal. These areas

must be noted on your repair order. Old damage of body filler found under stripped areas is

excluded from this warranty, and additional charges may apply to repairing old body filler found

under existing paint surfaces. Cracking may show through the new paint if stripping to bare

metal was necessary yet, was not elected by you the customer.

LIMITED WARRANTY ON COMPLETE PAINT SERVICES

Kitu’s Auto Group warranties cover all Paint Services. Each warranty varies depending on the

chemical makeup of the color coat or topcoat. Kitu's Auto Group Paint Services offer limited

warranties against failure due to application, loss of adhesion (peeling) or premature fading and

chalking. This warranty is void should the vehicle or body panel be damaged in a subsequent

accident, there is a transfer of ownership, and/or the customer does not follow the car washing

instructions (LOCATED ON BACK OF PAGE). Kitu’s Auto Group warrants that all paint applications will be done in a proper and sound manner. We use the most professional techniques and the correct amount of materials to assure a uniform color coat and good, consistent gloss. Minor imperfections such as painted over nicks, chips and scratches may be visible under the new paint and are deemed acceptable unless they were listed as specific repair items on the customer's itemized repair order. Kitu’s Auto Group will take care to minimize dust or dirt from settling into the new paint finish while it is curing. Minimal amounts of dust are inherent to the repainting process.

You are protected against: 

• Peeling of the topcoat and/ or other layers of paint 

• Cracking 

• Loss of Gloss caused by cracking or hazing 

• Any pant failures attributed to defective products

**NO RENTAL CAR WILL BE PROVIDED DURING WARRANTY REPAIRS**

How soon can I wash my car after a new paint job?

We get asked many questions about when to wash and how to wash a vehicle after a touch up

paint repair. Below is a conservative timeline for when to wash the car, and what to avoid during

the first 30 and 90 days after a paint job.

IN THE FIRST 30 DAYS 

Don't use a commercial car wash. Also, stiff brushes or sponges could mar the finish

and damage the surface. Wait two weeks after the paint job, then first wash the

vehicle by hand (no hot water!) and a mild car wash solution. Make sure to use a soft

cloth or sponge. 

Always wash in the shade - not in the sun. 

Don't “dry wipe” the vehicle - always use clean water. Dry wiping can scratch a new

finish. 

Avoid extreme heat and cold. Keep the vehicle parked in the shade whenever

possible. 

Try to avoid gravel roads. Chipping the finish is more easily done in the first 30 days. 

Do not park under trees, or birds, Tree sap can mark or spot a freshly painted

surface. Bird droppings have a high acid content and can damage a newly painted

surface. Wash off bird droppings as soon as possible. 

Do not spill gasoline, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid or wind shield washer fluid on

the new finish. If you do immediately rinse it off with water.

IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS

Do not use silicone wax or polish the vehicle – this will allow the finish to dry and

harden completely.

AFTER 90 DAYS

Polish then wax paintwork approximately every 3-4 months using microfiber cloth

only.
